FOOTBALL IS ALMOST HERE!
Today’s selection reflects my anticipation and excitement for tomorrow. Krypton is played during pregame, right before the team runs out on the field to start the game, and at the start of the fourth quarter. As a Redcoat, watching 92,000 pairs of hands fly into the air and listening to the screaming crescendo-ing while standing on the field was THRILLING. The anticipation was absolutely ridiculous and super-catching. EVERYONE was excited for the ensuing football game. And then it all explodes into happy shouts and cheers as we play Glory and the team runs onto the field.
Fourth quarter Krypton is a different kind of awesome. It’s a signal to the team during the tough games: we’re still here, we’re still screaming for you, there’s still 15 minutes left of football to play, and don’t you dare give up because we haven’t. On those games where we’re winning, it’s a promise to hang around to the very end. Even though we’re trouncing this team and the fans could leave early to beat traffic, this is GEORGIA FOOTBALL, and we’re not leaving until the clock says 0:00.
And that’s Krypton. Well, to me at least.
